Emirates News Agency – SEHA International Clinical Pharmacy Conference Highlights Impact of COVID-19 on Healthcare Professionals

ABU DHABI, October 13, 2021 (WAM) – Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the largest healthcare network in the United Arab Emirates, successfully concluded the first SEHA International Clinical Pharmacy Conference earlier this month, held in partnership with the University of California at San Diego, United States.

The two-day virtual event highlighted the impact of COVID-19 on frontline workers, clinical pharmacists and pharmacists, discussed recent innovations in the clinical and pharmaceutical industries, and created a platform form of knowledge sharing for other medical opportunities and collaborations.

In its largest year to date, more than 4,200 participants from 35 countries attended the conference which gave delegates the opportunity to hear and meet key leaders at the forefront of the pharmaceutical industry.

The conference, which was virtually hosted from Abu Dhabi, brought together world-class leaders, as well as high-level medical personnel, from around the world, such as clinical pharmacists, pharmacists, doctors, nurses, students in pharmacy and industry representatives.

Speakers from UAE, Australia, Egypt, UK and USA addressed the conference and shared their experiences with the audience.

The event explored current challenges in pharmacy practice, illustrated the transformation of patient access to pharmacy services, and promoted excellence in pharmacy practice, research and education.
